Meet the breeder

I'm Brandy R., the breeder behind Black Bell Labrador Retrievers located in Callahan, FL. We are a small hobby farm in NEFL. We responsibly breed our two female Labrador Retrievers each only once per year. Our dogs are our family pets and live happy lives working on the farm with us. We strive to produce quality dogs that meet AKC breed standards.

Q. & A. with Brandy

  • Why did you start breeding?

Growing up, my mom bred dogs and participated in conformation shows with the AKC. Our puppies would come and go and so as a child, I never grew attached…that is until I was an adult and had my first Labrador Retriever! I quickly fell in love with the breed! I want to use my knowledge of dog breeding to share their love with others! They captured my heart, they will yours, too!
  • What makes your program special?

“Raised with Science, Love, and Purpose.” Our program starts with Bio Sensor (ENS) through day 16, then guided socialization: gentle handling, safe sounds and surfaces, enrichment toys, weaning, crate and car introductions, and short outdoor adventures. Result: well-socialized companions ready for family life.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I don't even know if words can fully express how grateful I am for Brandy at Black Bell Labrador Retrievers. The day I found her was the day something in my life shifted, even though I didn't realize it yet. From the very first message, I could feel the genuine love, care, and heart she has for every single puppy she brings into the world. These aren't just dogs to her ~ they are family. It was the picture of Oakley she posted that moved me to reach out to her. The moment I saw him, I just knew. It was one of those rare, beautiful moments in life where everything clicks and you feel something deeply in your heart that says, "This is meant for you." And it truly was. Oakley is not just a puppy. He is joy. He is comfort. He is laughter. He is love I didn't even know I was missing. I can tell every single day that he was raised in a home filled with affection, patience, and intention. He is confident, gentle, playful, and so incredibly sweet ~ it shows he was nurtured, not just "bred." That is because of Brandy. Brandy doesn't just hand you a puppy. She gives you a piece of her heart. She cares where her puppies go. She cares about your journey with them. She celebrates with you, and she supports you. Her dedication is rare, and it is real. I will forever be grateful to her for Oakley. He came into my life at exactly the right moment, in exactly the right way. I know this was meant to be. I will always hold that close to my heart. Thank you, Brandy, for giving me one of the greatest gifts I have ever known. Diana P.

I’m so grateful I got my puppy from Mrs.Brandy! Not only is she so kind and so responsive, she raises her dogs well and with lots of love and care. My puppy came to me practically already potty trained since Mrs.Brandy and her family puts in the work to take them out and start potting early! He also took to his crate so well! Mrs.Brandy also was very helpful and insightful when it came to all of my questions. I’ve never had a puppy prior so I had lots to ask her and she answered them all so well and gave me affordable and good recommendations 😊. My puppy Sterling also has a front paw deformity that he was born with and she made sure I knew all the possible outcomes for his future and his life down the road. No secrets, no lies, just pure honesty and wanting the best for her puppies. She is a reputable and ethical breeder. I can’t recommend Mrs.Brandy enough :).

Brandy was so responsive and Knowledgeable about the breed. You can tell they really care about their dogs. They stayed in touch and sent me regular updates about my Molly. I loved the pictures and the fact she stayed in touch with me the entire time before Molly was old enough to come to her forever home. Its been a great experience and I highly recommend her.
