I'm Kristi K., the breeder behind Black Dymond Boxers located in Galt, CA. We are AKC Breeders Of Merit with a program focused on health, temperament, and structure. We adore and take pride in our dogs! We offer a lifetime health guarantee against congenital defects. Puppies are available for show, pet, and performance homes. ENS and Puppy Culture trained, exposed to small animals, dogs, children, and more. We are committed to giving you a lifetime of breeder support.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always had an affinity for breeding and raising animals.

  • What makes your program special?

    We offer a lifetime health guarantee against congenital defects that impact the dog's life. We do not require the return of the defective puppy to collect on the guarantee. We offer lifetime breeder support and host a Facebook group with only people who have purchased dogs from us as members. This allows for a large amount of networking and family-type feel among our puppy parents.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include fawn, brindle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Kristi

Kristi has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $2,500 - $4,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The typical puppy pet price is around $3500. Show quality puppies may be more, or less if you are interested in being a guardian home. The deposit is non-refundable unless the puppy becomes unsellable. Hold payment can be moved to a different puppy or a different litter.”

Kristi may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Black Dymond Boxers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Boxers.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
