I'm Brent H., the breeder behind Blackberry Cabin Farms located in Ranger, TX. At Blackberry Cabin, we proudly raise three breeds of dogs that work and play on our farm: Miniature Australian Shepherd (Mini American Shepherds), English Mastiffs, and Yellow Labradors (white coats). All our dogs are purebred, and our family is deeply committed to breeding with the utmost care, prioritizing the nurturing of healthy and affectionate companions. The Labradors are beautiful, energetic, and particularly enjoy river and boat time. These sweethearts bring joy and excitement to our family outings. The goal for our English Mastiff program is to breed athletic, fit and happy mastiffs rather than focusing solely on size. Our Mastiffs love taking long walks on the farm and cooling off in the ponds. Our Mini Aussies are intelligent and the workhorses of the farm. They are always eager to assist with daily tasks, especially round up time.

Why did you start breeding?
We didn't start as breeders, but our fantastic dogs have always attracted interest. To ensure we always have dogs with the characteristics we value, we decided to breed our own.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include black tri and red tri. Mastiff puppies are fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Brent
Brent has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

"Labradors: Includes AKC registration, two rounds of vaccinations, deworming, microchipped, picture with Mama, blanket with Mama scent and puppy socialization. $2500 Limited registration, $3500 full AKC breeding registration. Mastiffs: Includes AKC registration, two rounds of vaccinations, deworming, microchipped, picture with Mama, blanket with Mama scent and puppy socialization. $1,900 Limited registration, $3,000 full AKC breeding registration. Mini Aussies: Includes American Stock Dog registration, two rounds of vaccinations, deworming, microchipped, picture with Mama, blanket with Mama scent and puppy socialization. $800. Deposits secure your place, are non-refundable and will be applied to the final price. If deposits exceed puppies available, an option for refund or next litter will be offered. A $500 deposit is required to join the Labrador and Mastiff waiting list. A $300 deposit is required to join the Mini Aussie waiting list."

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Profile
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
