We’re devoted to ensuring there are healthy Labrador Retrievers for others to enjoy and we do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed. We are home-based breeders dedicated to bringing healthy, loving, and high-quality Labs into the homes and hearts of their forever families. We love our dogs and are passionate about raising our puppies to be the best family companions.

Getting a puppy from Misty
Misty has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
“We require you to pay a $400 deposit to hold your pick of the litter. This deposit is non refundable if you decide to back out because you simply changed your mind. It can be transferred to a future litter. The deposit will be refunded if for any reason there isn't availability in the litter or if for some reason something happens to the puppy during its time with the breeder.”

Misty may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

+8Misty with Bohlken Lab was great to work with. She offers a Facebook page where she keeps you up to date with pictures and prep training she is doing with the pups from smell to sound introduction and temperament testing . I loved being able to watch them grow and their personalities come out over the 8 weeks. Misty was very communicative and willing to answer all questions you might have and truly cares about making you feel comfortable and ready to bring home your next best friend. The use of the Good Dog app made me feel comfortable to transfer money securely and the process of finding a puppy easy. She is someone I have already recommended to others looking and someone I would love to work with again in the future. The new addition to our family is healthy, happy and loved and that’s all thanks for Bohlken Labradors!

Oh my goodness! Daisy is the best puppy. She is learning new things and we are starting our training this weekend. She is a hit at Daycare, her bestie is a French Bulldog! We could not love her more♥️ Bohlken Labs goes above and beyond in quality and training. My Veterinarian examined Daisy and said that he could tell the Breeder was excellent and this is not the norm in the breeding world. I can’t thank you enough Misty Bohlken for my baby girl.
