I'm Lisa V., the breeder behind Boxers Von Drachenburg located in Greensboro, NC. I am passionate about the Boxer breed. My dogs aren't just dogs to me, they are my babies, my family. I love and care for them as such. Finding the perfect home for each and every one of them brings me so much joy. Why did you start breeding?
My first Boxer was a complete joy and I wanted to keep her line going so I bred her. I had so much fun with those puppies. I don't breed on a regular basis. I only have 2 females at a time. I love seeing the joy on the new owners' faces when they get their new little wiggle butt.What makes your program special?
They are my babies and family. My human kids would tell you I love the Boxers more. When you buy a puppy from me, you are now my family and I keep up with each one of them.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Program update on 10 July 2025 •Silverwing is still looking for his forever home. He is a very active lovable little fellow. He is doing very well potty training and crate training.

Litter update on 04 July 2025 •…He is a very active little boy. He is looking for his forever family to love on him and play ball. He is doing well with potty training and learning to use the bells on the door. He loves being outside and playing in the grass. He is very adventurous and loves to go explore when he is outside the dog lot. He listens pretty well and comes running to you. He is going to be a big teddy bear.

How can you refuse this sweet face? He is smart on figuring out how to get what he wants. Learning to ring the bells to go outside. Working on potty training. He weighed in at 19.84 pounds this morning.

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
