I'm Hallie S., the breeder behind Branwood Labrador Retrievers located in Jefferson Valley, NY. I got my first Lab in 1979 and named her Brandy. She was not only beautiful but a wonderful, sweet dog! I never bred her I’m sorry to say but we did obedience work and she earned two AKC titles. The first dog I bred was a beautiful yellow girl, Misty, in 2004 when I moved from NYC to Westchester County. I breed to produce outstanding puppies that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive, and have wonderful temperaments. My goal is to produce a great representation of the Labrador Retriever and to continue improving the line with each generation. Each pup is special from the moment of birth and given the best start I can possibly provide. It would be a pleasure to meet you and your family and introduce you to my beautiful Labrador puppies!
Q. & A. with Hallie
Why did you start breeding?
I have a breeding program that focuses on temperament and the overall well-being of our dogs. I breed to produce happy and healthy puppies that can continue to excel in their forever homes. It is an honor to represent this breed and create opportunities for others to experience the same joy that I've found in raising these wonderful dogs.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are fully healthy and extensively health tested prior to breeding to ensure only quality puppies are being produced. My priority is quality over quantity and my puppies are placed in loving homes that I have reviewed carefully. We are passionate about preparing our puppies to thrive throughout their lives, and we enjoy mentoring their new families so that they can raise their new, furry companions with confidence and joy.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
