Meet the breeder

I'm Laura Tsekhmister E., the breeder behind BRAVE HEART ❤️ located in Bonney Lake, WA. With great joy, we want to share that our kennel is no longer named House of Happy Cavaliers, but Brave Heart! We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this change. Moving forward, this is the name under which we want to grow and develop our kennel.

Q. & A. with Laura Tsekhmister

  • Why did you start breeding?

For me, breeding and showing has always been rooted in deep expertise. I have continuously expanded my education through specialized seminars focusing on canine reproduction, preservation breeding, and structure/ conformation. My passion for understanding the science behind the perfect dog is what naturally led me into purposeful breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

Our kennel reflects resilience and deep dedication. Bringing over a decade of European expertise to the US, we focus on breeding healthy, structurally sound, and beautiful dogs with exceptional, sweet temperaments. Every puppy leaves for their new home fully vaccinated, vet-checked, microchipped, and with a contract requiring sterilization.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blenheim and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Laura was wonderful! From when I first inquired to now, she is so responsive and helpful. Our puppy is home with us now and I’m able to reach out to her with any questions I have and she still replies quickly. Our puppy came to us with great health, first vaccinations and microchip already done. Our baby is so cute and has the best temperament already. He’s very playful and so so sweet. You can tell Laura and Eugene care deeply about the breed and that it’s important to raise healthy strong puppies. Our house will always have cavaliers in it and I’m so glad I’ve found Laura, we will absolutely go through them again in the future.

We had a great experience picking up the newest little member of our family. She is sweet, affectionate, and healthy. Couldn’t have asked for a better breeder. We may be back for another puppy in a couple of years lol

It was our 1st pure bred pup reservation experience and Laura and Eugene made it wonderful. Great communication and updates until Roxie was ready to come home and after. Love our girl. Highly recommend Laura for an exemplary CKC experience.

We’ve had our little guy, Clydesdale for almost a month now. He’s such a such a happy, charismatic and smart little puppy. We were able to meet Clyde before we decided on him and everything was as clean and professional as you could hope for. Laura and Eugene are 10/10. They answered every question we had, helped us learn more about the breed and continue to be in contact with us if need be. Which has proven very helpful! It was so clear that they really care about their dogs and are so knowledgeable about Cavaliers. The care package they sent us home with was not only generous but had incredibly detailed notes for his transitions and medical history. Everything they have done has made us more confident in raising our new little guy! Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience working with House of Happy Cavaliers. Their knowledge of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels is truly impressive, and throughout the entire process they provided us with many helpful and practical suggestions. They were always patient and very responsive to our questions, which made us feel supported and confident as first-time puppy parents. It’s clear that they take excellent care of their dogs—our puppy came to us healthy, well-socialized, and already with some basic potty training. We also really appreciated all the thoughtful items and guidance they provided when we brought our puppy home. During the handoff, they took the time to patiently walk us through everything and answer all our questions in detail. Even after we brought our puppy home, they continued to check in on us and offer helpful advice, which shows how much they truly care. We are very grateful for the love and dedication they put into raising these puppies, and for giving us such a wonderful and memorable experience as we welcomed a new member into our family.

I have had my puppy for just over 2 weeks and it was the best decision ever! Everything was so seamless and Hugo is the perfect addition to my family. Laura was so kind and gave me lots of information. I can’t thank her enough for bringing Hugo into my life.
