I'm Jaime W., the breeder behind By Design Doodles located in Beckley, WV. Our puppies are raised in our home from start to finish. They hear normal noises of a house. They are accustomed to other dogs, are introduced to cats, are acquainted with extended family members and other children being in and out. They are comfortable being in a home with a family.

Jaime has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jaime partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“We are intentional about breeding for consistent, predictable temperaments. Our parent dogs are carefully selected not only for health and structure, but for the kind, stable personalities that define our program. Each pairing is thoughtfully planned so that when those traits come together, they produce reliably — giving families puppies with the same gentle, affectionate, people-oriented temperaments we value so highly.”

“Our price reflects intentional breeding and care, including health-tested parents, early socialization, vaccines, vet checks, microchipping, and a puppy starter pack, plus ongoing support. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, as they reserve a specific puppy and reflect time, care, and opportunities declined. This ensures serious, committed homes for each puppy.”
Jaime may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Jaime offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Jaime directly.

📚 Pages of Childhood – Almost 8 Weeks 🤍 It’s hard to believe our Pages of Childhood litter will be 8 weeks old this Sunday! These past two months have flown by, and this sweet chapter is quickly coming to a close. The puppies have grown into happy, confident, affectionate little companions. They’re fully weaned, doing wonderfully with their puppy box training, enjoying daily outdoor adventures, and continuing their crate exposure. Every day brings a little more confidence, curiosity, and personality. Each puppy has received a fantastic veterinary wellness examination and is current on vaccinations and deworming. They’re healthy, thriving, and well on their way to being ready for the adventures that await them. The best part? Every puppy has found their forever family! While not everyone will be heading home this weekend, each little one has a family eagerly counting down the days until they’re finally together. Over the next week or two, we’ll soak up every last puppy cuddle, play session, and wagging tail before these babies begin the next chapter of their lives. Watching them leave is always bittersweet, but knowing they’re heading to homes where they’ll be cherished makes it all worthwhile. Thank you to each of our wonderful puppy families for trusting us with such an important part of your story. We can’t wait to watch these little pages become lifelong memories.

🌊 Beach Babies – 7 Week Update 🐚 Our Beach Babies are officially 7 weeks old, and this final stretch before go-home day is always one of our favorites! This week everyone heads to the veterinarian for their wellness examinations, and we’re looking forward to another round of healthy reports. They continue to impress us every day with their confidence, happy temperaments, and sweet personalities. Outside adventures have become a favorite part of the day! The puppies are enjoying more time exploring the yard, building confidence on different surfaces, and learning about the world around them. They’re curious, playful, and always ready for their next little adventure. Crate exposure is continuing as part of their daily routine. We’re working on helping them become comfortable spending short periods in their crates, giving them a great foundation for an easier transition into their new homes. The puppies are fully weaned, eating well, becoming more independent, and are doing an excellent job with their puppy box. Their personalities are shining brighter each day, making this such a fun stage to watch. We can’t believe go-home day is almost here! We’ll be sharing updated photos soon along with their individual veterinary reports after Friday’s appointments. We are so excited for each of these little ones to meet the families who have been eagerly waiting for them.

Stella × Milo Cavapoo Update 🤍 (5½ weeks) These sweet babies are now 5½ weeks old and thriving in this fun, busy stage of development. They’ve moved into a new play area filled with all the good things— toys to climb on, toys to chew, and plenty to snuggle with. They’re enjoying puppy mush and have been introduced to dry food, while mama is naturally beginning the weaning process. Everyone is becoming more steady and confident—climbing, wrestling, and fully embracing playtime. Their awareness is growing by the day, taking in more of the world around them with sweet curiosity—including some gentle, curious interactions with our Bengal cat. Everything is going beautifully 🤍 Updated photos coming soon, but I couldn’t help sharing a few playful moments from this afternoon.

🤍 Gigi’s Litter Update – 6 Weeks Old 🤍 It’s hard to believe these babies are already six weeks old. This stage is always such a sweet mix of growing independence and still being very much babies. They are now eating mostly dry kibble and gradually weaning from mom. Gigi is naturally beginning to step back, and the puppies are adjusting beautifully. They’re playing more intentionally with one another — practicing appropriate interaction, building confidence, and figuring out their little personalities. This week included: • New toys added to their space for enrichment • Expanded play area for more exploration • Doing great with their puppy boxes • First baths and nail trims (they handled both so well!) • Crate introductions have officially begun They don’t love the crates yet — which is completely normal — but we are gently and consistently working through it to help make their transition home smoother for each of you. Short, positive exposures now make a big difference later. They’re awake more during the day, curious and engaged, but still very much enjoy their naps. Growth and development take a lot of energy at this age. Much of the same focus continues this coming week — confidence building, social exposure, crate familiarity, and continuing to refine their routines. Time is flying, and they are doing so well. 🤍🐾

Jaime was great to work with. Cannot say the same for Gooddog. It’s all about the MONEY!! They even charged to pay and when I tried to bypass the extra $300.00 it was impossible! I have contacted American Express because they secure their payments and additional charges are not necessary I will continue to post my opinion about Good Dog and hopefully Breeders will sell on their own

We put a lot of thought & research into picking a puppy & a breeder. So glad we found Jaime, as she & her family were fantastic. She was organized, knowledgable, caring, and responsive. She provided us with regular updates & advice, and checked in repeatedly once we brought our puppy home. Nutmeg is happy, healthy, & well-adjusted. She is the hit in our neighborhood & on all our Zooms!

Jaime was amazing from the start. Very informative about this breed. She was so helpful and I felt very comfortable with the whole process. We had westies for 16 years that had passed away. We wanted a family dog that would help heal our hearts and our little Ruger did just that. ❤️

Jaime is very knowledgeable about the breed and was transparent throughout the entire process. Communication with her was easy, and her experience and confidence in her dogs really stood out. The process was smooth from start to finish—Biscuit arrived home safely with all necessary records, along with clear care instructions. Biscuit is a happy puppy and was already trained to use the potty box from day one, with very few accidents, which I truly appreciate. Overall, this was a very smooth and positive experience.

I looked into many breeders before choosing By Design Doodles. Jaime was very responsive to my questions, knowledgeable about the breed and continued to be supportive once we got Teddy home. You can tell Jaime is invested in each puppy and follows up to see how they are adjusting to their new home. I was curious about Teddy’s personality and demeanor before we got him and Jaime described him to a T. He is calm but curious, and loves to snuggle. We are very please with our choice of By Design Doodles.
