I'm Jaime W., the breeder behind By Design Doodles located in Beckley, WV. Our puppies are raised in our home from start to finish. They hear normal noises of a house. They are accustomed to other dogs, are introduced to cats, are acquainted with extended family members and other children being in and out. They are comfortable being in a home with a family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I grew up with parents who raised German Shepherds, dog shows, puppies, and hands-on care were a natural part of life. That early exposure shaped me, and nurturing dogs has always been in my heart. Breeding grew from that foundation into something I truly love and feel called to do.

  • What makes your program special?

    What makes our program special is the way our dogs are raised—right in our home, as part of our family. We focus on temperament, health, and intentional pairings, with early socialization and hands-on care from day one. Our goal is to raise well-rounded, deeply loved puppies and thoughtfully match them with the right families.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Goldendoodle puppies are petite size. Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, and red. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include ruby and chocolate. Cavapoo puppies include merle, tri-color, chocolate, red, blenheim, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jaime

Jaime has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jaime partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Our parent dogs are carefully selected not only for health and structure, but for the kind, stable personalities that define our program. Each pairing is thoughtfully planned so that when those traits come together, they produce reliably — giving families puppies with the same gentle, affectionate, people-oriented temperaments we value so highly.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $5,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our price reflects intentional breeding and care, including health-tested parents, early socialization, vaccines, vet checks, microchipping, and a puppy starter pack, plus ongoing support. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable, as they reserve a specific puppy and reflect time, care, and opportunities declined. This ensures serious, committed homes for each puppy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Jaime may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Jaime was great to work with. Cannot say the same for Gooddog. It’s all about the MONEY!! They even charged to pay and when I tried to bypass the extra $300.00 it was impossible! I have contacted American Express because they secure their payments and additional charges are not necessary I will continue to post my opinion about Good Dog and hopefully Breeders will sell on their own

    Jaime is very knowledgeable about the breed and was transparent throughout the entire process. Communication with her was easy, and her experience and confidence in her dogs really stood out. The process was smooth from start to finish—Biscuit arrived home safely with all necessary records, along with clear care instructions. Biscuit is a happy puppy and was already trained to use the potty box from day one, with very few accidents, which I truly appreciate. Overall, this was a very smooth and positive experience.

    I looked into many breeders before choosing By Design Doodles. Jaime was very responsive to my questions, knowledgeable about the breed and continued to be supportive once we got Teddy home. You can tell Jaime is invested in each puppy and follows up to see how they are adjusting to their new home. I was curious about Teddy’s personality and demeanor before we got him and Jaime described him to a T. He is calm but curious, and loves to snuggle. We are very please with our choice of By Design Doodles.
