Q. & A. with Rhonda
Why did you start breeding?
The roots of my breeding career trace to my youth. My first ever pairing was at the age of 12. I bred my best Beagle that was used for rabbit hunting, to another very good hunting dog. That litter was bred for a purpose and solidified my passion for producing not just good but what I could breed as the best. As years went by and children took up the time that I had historically spent in the woods the careful pairing of dogs still called to me. For about a decade I was living in a very small town and the hunting and herding dogs of my youth were no longer what I needed for my family. After an extensive search I purchased my first Boxer. A sturdy happy breed that are (or should be) good with children and their families.
Are thinking guard dogs that assess situations and strangers and take action, or not as the situation calls for or their owner commands.
This breed appealed to me on many levels. It does not hurt that I feel they are beautiful either. And so I settled into breeding and improving my own dogs. Striving for my interpretation of the Breed Standard , which is a blueprint for what the breed should be. I have worked for many years and I feel I am successfully accomplishing just this :)
What makes your program special?
The health aspect fascinates me and so I have dedicated myself to producing dogs that I myself would love to have as pets. Not just dogs FOR pets. The knowledge that only accumulates with time is there. The wonderful tractable dogs who fill my life with joy are there. The customer service is also there.
I truly want you to be happy and satisfied with your puppy and have decades of repeat buyers who will attest to this fact.
I happily offer on site pick up. I encourage you to meet the parents. While I occasionally breed to outside studs, the mothers, Aunties, grandmothers and many times great grandmothers are here for you to meet. We ask for appointments , and there are some precautionary measures taken, but we welcome you with open arms.
Our home is not fancy , and it comes with slobbers and dog hair but it is filled with happiness and love.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn, brindle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Rhonda
Rhonda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $1,000 deposit and between $900 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.
“I occasionally have puppies available for show prospects, this reflects at the higher end of the scale in regards to pricing. Most puppies sell for $1800.00 as companions.
This includes a three year written health guarantee, shots , worming, heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Copies of AKC parent paperwork pedigrees and health testing. Puppies are all vert checked prior to going to their new homes. All deposits are non refundable unless a puppy develops a critical issue prior to pick up or in the unfortunate event of the death of a buyer.
Both of these scenarios are very rare but know you will be treated fairly.
Deposits can also be transferred to the next available litter if a situation in your home arises that does not make it conductive for bringing a new puppy home, but specific color, sex or markings are not promised.
Seller has first rights to any puppy in the litter, and effectivly your deposit , even if "first" will be second or even third pick to the seller's and or stud owners if the female was bred outside of the breeding program. Please remember, this will be a beloved member of your family, but for us these are not just pets but a continuation of a quarter of a century long breeding program.
Choices of puppies are made at the 5/6 week mark usually , however I am blessed with great fertility in my ladies, so there will almost always be multiple nice puppies to choose from for companions. I will absolutely be up front with you and tell you which puppy I have my eye on and if the litter is produced from an outside stud the stud owner may wait til 8 weeks to choose . But we usually have an idea before then on who we like .
If a specific puppy is placed for up for sale it is already then deemed available for companion purchase.
I rarely keep a wait list, because I understand the rise and fall of family life. Your situation now, may not be the situation in two years when the perfect for you puppy comes along. I do not take deposits on puppies before the age of 2-3 weeks, nor while the mother is expecting. I prefer puppies to be born and thriving , making sure there are enough for the people that I want to entrust with them.
I encourage open communication on my expected litters however. If they are posted here, they are available for consideration unless otherwise noted.”

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Standard Veterinary Blood Panel
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Rhonda went above and beyond to share photos, information, and communication about our puppy before and after purchase. Her kindness and humor made the experience of getting a new puppy even more meaningful. Her quality of breeding, property, and high level of care taking for her Boxers is evident. We highly recommend her, and would return should we ever decide to purchase another Boxer puppy.

We had such a wonderful experience with Rhonda. From the very beginning, she was incredibly responsive and easy to work with, answering all of our questions and keeping us informed throughout the process. Our puppy is everything we could have hoped for—he’s a perfect boxer boy with all of the loving, playful, and loyal characteristics that make this breed so special.
Having had boxers in the past who struggled with health issues, we are especially grateful that Rhonda takes health so seriously and invests in proper genetic screening for the conditions that often affect boxers. It gave us peace of mind knowing our puppy was coming from a thoughtful, responsible breeder who truly cares about the long-term well-being of her dogs.
We couldn’t be happier with Truman! We wholeheartedly recommend Rhonda to anyone looking for a healthy, well-bred boxer.
