I'm Kristy B., the breeder behind Catera Field Spaniels located in Harvest, AL. We are an in-home program where our dogs are our companions first and foremost. We are dedicated to providing each of our puppies with loving and caring forever homes. Through creating an environment of serenity and care for our puppies, we know we can give each precious pup the very best chance to reach their potential, express their unique personality, and have a loving, well-rounded temperament.

    Our dogs have brought us so much love and happiness that we decided to start our own responsible breeding program by producing the highest quality dogs and providing them a wonderful life with wonderful families. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and we are so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.
  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are raised with love in our home, and we strive to help each one grow up with confidence so they are ready to leave with their new families. They are affectionate, intelligent, and cute as can be! We are dedicated to always providing you with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies.

Breeder-Reported Testing

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
