I'm Adrienne M., the breeder behind Clearmountain Retrievers located in Dover Plains, NY. We breed versatile Labradors. We focus on mental and physical soundness, intelligence, and work ethic within the breed standard. Doing our part to preserve the breed is a priority in our program. We want to share Labrador Retrievers with others while achieving their highest potential.
Q. & A. with Adrienne
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up on a Morgan Horse farm. My parents were small-time horse breeders. Later in life, I got involved with dogs, worked casually for a breeder of Belgian Malinois while I was learning about dog training. Once I discovered field line Labs, I was hooked. I sought out a mentor with 35+ years breeding experience and Avidog. I have been learning and expanding my knowledge of the breed every chance I get.
What makes your program special?
My foundation female is an exceptional dog from an exceptional pedigree. Her high intensity and intelligence, bred with quieter, dual-purpose lines paves the way for exceptional puppies.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
