Meet the breeder

I'm James & Madi J., the breeder behind Copper State Cattle Dogs located in Surprise, AZ. Our dogs are breed for health and temperament. We strive to produce great family pets and also great working companions.

Q. & A. with James & Madi

  • Why did you start breeding?

We fell in love with our first heeler and have since added to our family. We started breeding after learning a lot of cattle dogs aren’t always breed responsibly or ethically. Which we want to change!
  • What makes your program special?

We have all our dogs health and genetic tested. Our dogs are raised with our family as family pets but also have a drive to work and come from working lines.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue speckled, blue mottled, red speckled, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
