Q. & A. with Valerie

  • Why did you start breeding?

We fell in love with the breed through raising a rescue pup and got our second one two years later. Since then we have grown our pack to five total. We have done so much research and genetic testing to make sure we are breeding healthy, quality and wonderful dogs! We have also had some wonderful guides through the ASDR family to help provide experienced information!
  • What makes your program special?

We have a very small breeding program which allows us to raise them in our home around our kids and have them socialed for most households!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include tiny and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blue merle, red merle, red, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

We cannot recommend Valerie enough! From start to finish, the entire process of getting our puppy, Blitzen, was seamless and incredibly supportive. When I first reached out, I had my eye on a specific puppy, but after chatting about what we were looking for, Valerie actually recommended a different litter that she felt better suited our needs. I’m so glad we listened to her expertise—our pup is exactly as she described him, and his temperament is a perfect match for our home. No surprises here! Valerie was also: Super Flexible: She worked with us on a pickup schedule that made everything so much easier. Incredibly Helpful: She’s been hands-on with any information we’ve needed, from training tips and sleep schedules to food recommendations. A Great Breeder: It’s clear she puts in the work early on; our puppy was almost immediately potty trained once we got him home! If you’re looking for a breeder who truly cares about placing the right dog with the right family, Valerie is the one. We are so happy with our new addition!

Valerie was great. She was responsive and patient with my many questions. When it came time for pickup, she was gracious to meet at a pre-defined location so the travel was maneageable in one day. The puppy came with a great puppy pack and all the necessary documentation. Valerie continues to follow up with other tips and information she is truly invested in her pups and their forever homes. Thank you. I would definately recommend Copperhead Aussies to others.

I have had dogs my whole life and this is the first time I’ve had a dog come with a puppy kit! I have had him only for a few days and he is already adapting to the dogs I already have. We can tell CopperHead keeps their pups well socialized with the way he plays and loves on our dogs. I do not know if it’s pure luck but my pup already knows not to potty on the floor and to use a pad or go outside. I am also glad they do genetic testing because I had two rescues pass recently from health issues we were not aware of.

Valerie with CooperHead Aussies was amazing to work with from beginning to end of the process ... and beyond! Because our relationship is far from over once puppy comes home. Valerie answered all of my questions promptly, thoroughly, and kindly. Payment was easy through Good Dog. Valerie was also kind enough to meet me partway. The puppy package that came with Dancer included many treats, toys, bedding, food, and treats; and Valerie went through every piece of paperwork she thoughtfully included with Dancer's purchase. Dancer herself is a beautiful, thoughtful, highly intelligent puppy that has obviously been raised with care. She easily adjusted to our cats and dogs and thinks the chickens are very interesting! I would highly recommend Valerie from CopperHead Aussies in your puppy purchase. She won't disappoint!

What a great experience in adopting my sweet girl, Valerie was so organized with all the medical and hereditary documents. I was so impressed with all the gift of toys with her mama’s scent to help my sweet girl to transition over to us. I highly recommend CopperHead Aussies.
