Q. & A. with Barb

  • Why did you start breeding?

I Have been breeding for over 35 years and I have developed a love for breeding. It's a wonderful thing to see the newborn puppies as they are being welped and able to help if needed. It's exciting to watch them grow and learn new things. The look on the faces of the new owners is priceless.
  • What makes your program special?

Within my program I dna test all of my girls and the stud before breeding. The health and well-being of my dogs and their puppies is very important to me. I am constantly researching and learning new things to add to my program
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Boxer puppies include fawn and brindle. French Bulldog puppies are fawn and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Barb always responded right away to our text inquiries, and we picked up Penny (Charlotte) without any problems whatsoever. Penny is a very bright little boxer-full of energy and doing well. My husband and I are really enjoying her company.

Barb was very responsive and was great accommodating puppy pickup. Our sweet love was exactly what we excepted! He is very smart and can already use the doggy door, knows his name, can sit, walk on a leash and was given a great bill of health from our vet. If you’re considering a pup from Cornish Canines, go for it!! We are in love with our boy 💙

Barb was wonderful to work with. She answered all our questions and was highly communicative throughout the process, which was critical since we were traveling to pick up our puppy from another state. She even sent us additional photos of our puppy. We were welcomed into her home and had a chance to meet our puppy, see his littermates, and meet his mom; all of which we greatly appreciated. We were sent home with well organized paperwork and a very nice bag of puppy goodies, too. When she said goodbye to him as we were preparing to leave, we could tell she genuinely cared for him. We recommend Cornish Canines and love our boxer (Jett) so much already.

Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
