Meet the breeder

I'm Traci T., the breeder behind Country Goldens and Mountain Top Cavaliers located in Graysville, TN. Our dogs and puppies are raised in our home and handled daily. Parents are OFA certified for breeding. Puppies are vet checked and vaccinated at 7 weeks of age. Our puppies are all sold with a ONE YEAR health guarantee, to pet homes only, with a spay/neuter agreement.

Q. & A. with Traci

  • Why did you start breeding?

It was just something that I always wanted to do... we started with Golden Retrievers and began working with Service Dog organizations, and once we established a reputation for excellent service animals we added the Cavaliers for clients looking for a smaller more compact dog for emotional support, and therapy animals. Goldens and Cavies are both excellent breeds for Service, Therapy and ES.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised inside of our home and handled daily. We do neurological stimulation on our pups from day3-16. We have an active household and puppies are exposed to and desensitized to many things early on, providing our buyers with confident, well-socialized pups.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim, ruby, tri-color, and black and tan. Golden Retriever puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Traci was great to work with and very knowledgeable about this breed and the puppy stage. My family and I were able to meet and choose from 2 litter mates and also met both parents on site. She had extensive health records on both parents which is why I chose to work with her. We feel confident we received a healthy high quality dog.

Traci always answered my questions quickly. They have a beautiful farm in Tennessee where their dogs can play. She seems dedicated to raising dogs with great personalities and ours has a sweet and friendly disposition.

I could not be happier with how any of this process worked out. Traci is an amazing breeder with gorgeous pups. So for starters, the process of contacting her and communicating through the adoption was great. She is fast to respond, her take home information is well written and thorough, and you can tell that she cares where her puppies new home is going to be. In my case, I was looking for a new family member and wanted a Golden Retriever. I found a recent litter from her pair of Lennie and Zadie. The combination of the two, the light color but boxy look of dad paired with the very traditional looking mom makes beautiful puppies! I have to say our family took secret votes on who was the right one from the litter and everyone struggled to decide because they were all great options. I finally decided that I would go with my instinct and get Yellow Girl… Now part of our home as Daisy!🌼 Daisy is a sweet little girl. She is smart and eager to learn, already figuring out the ways of the house and some basic commands (some even in the first 24 hours like sit!) . She is loving, always watching the family and wagging her tail to great everyone. Anyone who sees her pictures or her in person raves about how wonderful she is. I wasn’t sure that the vet techs at her first check in were going to give her back! :) They kept saying how calm and well behaved she was, and yet she is very energetic and playful when playtime comes. I don’t have enough words to describe this process, how nice the breeder and their farm is, or how amazing little Daisy is. I just couldn’t be more happy with the decision we made. Thank you so much Tracie!
