I'm Dawn D., the breeder behind DaCosta’s Boxers located in Fall River, MA. We’re so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! Our dogs are breed for health, temperament love with a focus on athleticism and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing our families with wonderful health and lovable fur pets.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I found the love with my first Boxer who was wonderful caring and affectionate dog she loved car rides and traveling and loved people. So from there I wanted to create what she had that then started my first breeding experience.

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs are all born and raised in my home with a loving family and other Boxers. They are all hand held played with and thought how to be loved. Please join my site Dacosta’s Boxers on Facebook for updates of other litters. Thank You

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dawn

Puppy prices include a $700 non-refundable deposit and $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Dawn may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy.     Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Dawn is such a caring breeder and was amazing to work with. We have one of Stella's puppies. From first contact to now 6 months after we brought our puppy home, she regularly checks in to see how we are doing and she works to create community with her social media page. We appreciated her transparency of inviting us to her home to meet the puppy and her dogs, see their environment and also learn more about her love of the breed and history with breeding. Ahead of picking our pup up, she would reach out to us with recommendations for supplies and regular videos and pictures. Upon picking up our dog, she spent time reviewing paperwork and made sure to share personality quirks too. She sent us home with everything we needed--some food, a scoop, a couple of toys, a small fleece and made sure to check in. We are certain Dawn will continue to cheer us on beyond puppy years and are so grateful to have found her.

    From the moment I reached out to Dawn about one of the puppies in the 2025 litter, she was very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. My family and I were able to visit the litter and their mom in person, and between that day and the day we brought our new puppy home, Dawn was amazing at sharing updates and photos and keeping us informed about the dog. The puppy is now 8 months old, and I still talk to Dawn regularly. She is interested in how the dog is developing and loves seeing his photos. Dawn loves her boxer dogs and her puppies, and it shows in everything she does. I'm very happy to have found her when we were looking for a new dog and can only recommend her.
