We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! We keep a variety of factors in mind when choosing dogs to breed, including health, temperament, pedigree, and complementary traits, so that puppies can inherit the best of both parents.

Why did you start breeding?
My husband and I started Deep South Labrador Retrievers because we absolutely love this gentle, intelligent, and social breed. We find it so rewarding to find forever homes for our puppies. It is like sharing a piece of our hearts!What makes your program special?
Our breeding program is special because we produce just one litter at a time and spend an ample amount of time with our puppies, socializing them with sounds and introducing them to lots of people and stimuli. We pour our hearts and souls into their health and development and strive to deliver the best puppies we can. We are proud of what we do!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from April
April has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
April partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.
“We do picks in person on go-home day unless the buyer is unable to meet in person and is requiring delivery. Picks are by order of deposit and gender. For example, first pick of the males has first private picking appointment, then the 2nd pick is after them, so on and so forth. Puppies go home beginning 9/1/2026.”
Price
“This price includes AKC registration, First round of Vaccinations, Florida Health Certificate, Socialization, Temperament Test, Puppy Training guide, AKC Literature, microchip, etc. All puppies are the same price regardless of sex and are sold on a AKC limited Registration.”

Litter update on 07 Aug •…I’m selling some puppy/dog items! I’ve attached pictures from chewy.com so you can see what these items are currently running brand new. These are all used, but kept in good condition. First come, first serve! I have 2- 24 inch tall play pens $10.00 each. They fasten together with a little red neck ingenuity. I have two hard taxi crates- $15.00 each. I have 2 - 36 inch wire collapsible crates $20.00 each. 1- 46 inches wire collapsible crate $30.00.

Litter update on 06 Aug •…Bath day!! Everyone is doing amazing! I can’t believe how much solid food they’re gobbling up at feeding time. I make a little extra and they lick the bowls clean! Next week, we will transition the texture of the food back to dry food and by the end of the week they will all eat individually with measured portions.

About Jake
Introducing Moore’s Jake Roderick CGC, TKN, RN, ATT. He is a Fox Red Yellow Labrador Retriever who comes from exceptional and impressive conformation bloodlines: Rubywood, Iron Hill, and Keepsake. His temperament is very laid back and calm. He is highly intelligent and the star of just about everything he does. He’s received multiple titles and is proving to be very good at tracking and scent work. He’s tremendously sweet and loves to work. His calm and gentle demeanor lights up every room. He is handsome and just all around the perfect companion. His temperament really comes through in his litters. He’s not just a “puppy daddy” he is my heart dog! Genetically speaking, he is CLEAR of the panel of common Labrador diseases and he is NOT a carrier for any either! OFA prelims: Elbows- Normal; Hips-Excellent; heart and eyes- Normal. His coat is “Bb-ee” and he is NON-DILUTE.

About Eleanor Mae
Ellie Mae has a very mild and sweet temperament. She is very submissive and food/praise motivated. She is a “Fox Red” Yellow Lab like our Sire, Moore’s Jake Roderick. She is spunky and sweet. Although she is a “a practical jokester,” she is very submissive and smart. She enjoys learning new things and working her mind. Her favorite past times include cuddling with Jake, eating, scent work games, interacting with us, oh, and did we mention cuddling with Jake? She is the sweetest Mama, taking exceptional care of her puppies! Genetically, Ellie is CLEAR of the common panel of Labrador diseases. Her elbows and heart are normal. Pending OFA Hips and eyes, but no known issues. Her Coat is “BB-ee” and is she is NON-DILUTE (DD).

Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel, Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
