Meet the breeder

I'm Gabrielle S., the breeder behind Downeast Corgis located in Waltham, ME. We take great pride in producing happy and healthy corgis and want to ensure they are a good fit for their new home. We want to make this process as stress-free and fun as possible for you, your family, and your new addition!

Q. & A. with Gabrielle

  • Why did you start breeding?

I am new to breeding but if there's one thing about me it's that I am thorough and do not get into something lightly. My reasons behind breeding my pups are to improve the new and evolving breed, the American Corgi. My Moose and Bear are healthy, well-behaved, beautiful examples of their breed and will go on to make exceptional new additions to the American Corgi breed.
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program is special because my puppies are raised in our home and are thoroughly enriched! We live on 5 acres in a quiet lakefront subdivision and our babies will be taught to swim and accustomed to many other animals and children. They will be thoroughly spoiled but well behaved and ready to make your life a little bit brighter.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and white, black and tan, and blue merle and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
