Meet the breeder

I'm Morgain D., the breeder behind Dutton's Show Me Farms located in Oronogo, MO. My focus is on producing quality puppies to be companions, show dogs, and working dogs. When selecting my dogs I am looking at conformation, temperament, and health to make sure I am providing the best puppies for you and your family. I believe I am able to give each little pup the very best chance to reach its potential, express its best character, and bring forth its greatest gifts in the relationship with itself and to its family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I had a Heeler with a wonderful working temperament so I decided to breed with that personality and ability in mind. I have loved and raised Heelers for 5 years and my last Heeler litter was raised in 2021. I have now switched my focus to raising & showing Miniature Australian Shepherds. I have found that they are loving and loyal family dogs and are more accepting of guest than our heelers were.

  • What makes your program special?

    With my experience as a dog trainer, I have a lot to offer my puppies. I handle my puppies daily, exposing them to our household environment, and I also start potty and kennel training with each of them. When you get a puppy from me, you are not just buying a puppy, you are gaining a family member. I love to keep in touch with all of my buyers so that I can see how our pups grow and excel over the years!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Australian Cattle Dog puppies include red speckled, red mottled, blue speckled, and blue mottled. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, red merle, red, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Morgain

Morgain has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Morgain partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $950 - $3,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Covers cost of puppy, age appropriate vet care while in my care. NON refundable reservation fee to reserve a puppy, remaining balance is due at time of pick up. In order to reserve a puppy you must pay the non refundable reservation fee, your reservation fee is transferable to another litter/puppy for up to 2 years from the time it was placed.”

Contract & health guarantee

Morgain may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Primary Lens Luxation (PLL), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
