Meet the breeder

I'm Alayne E., the breeder behind Erickson Cavaliers located in Hixson, TN. Our dogs and puppies are raised in our home and are loved as family. We spend countless hours with each of our litters, socializing and caring for our puppies to prepare them for their forever homes. We truly love our puppies and know you will, too!

Q. & A. with Alayne

  • Why did you start breeding?

I am a natural animal lover, and so are my children! We have a beautiful piece of land and are looking forward to adding animals to the place. I've always wanted to breed dogs and my daughter wants to be a dog trainer. Therefore it's been an easy transition into breeding. We have been grooming our own dogs for years now.
  • What makes your program special?

We have the gift of time. Time to spend training and prepping our puppies for their forever homes. Livy spends hours training and walking with Winnie & Willow, and she will transition that time into the new puppies as well.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are blenheim. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Alayne was super responsive and forthcoming with information about each step of the adoption process. She shared daily videos and pictures of the puppies and always kept us informed about their growth, vet checkups and milestones. We brought our “Charlie” home yesterday and he has been a dream with our family. He has not had any potty accidents, slept well in his crate and is a joy to play with. You can tell Alayne cares for her litters and trains them on all the basics before they come to their new homes. We will definitely reach out to Erickson Cavaliers if we ever purchase another puppy! 🐶 💕

We began to look for a reputable breeder of Cavaliers and were lucky enough to find Alayne and her family so close to home. Throughout the adoption process she was available, knowledgeable and sensitive to our needs. She and her family graciously provided almost daily updates on the puppies' progress through videos and kept us "in the loop" as they matured from infancy to the day we were able to pick up our little guy. She provided a wonderfully thorough folder of information, plus some supplies to get us through the first few days. We have adopted Cavs before but never with this feeling of involvement from first meeting. I would recommend Alayne and Erickson Cavaliers to anyone seeking a forever friend!

Alayne was so wonderful to work with! You can tell how much love and care they put in to each and every one of their puppies. Our little guy Bo (Knox) has done great settling into his new home! He is the sweetest little thing and has been doing amazing with potty training and crate training! He has done so well with our kids and is the best little cuddle buddy! We love him so much already! Alayne was so good about staying in touch, sharing updates, and answering every question we had. I would recommend her to anyone wanting to get a cavalier that is in excellent health and extremely well taken care of. Thank you so much Alayne for our healthy and happy pup!
