Q. & A. with Kim & Dave
Why did you start breeding?
Our story is a bit long, and we have always love to share it; it's most definitely better in a real conversation. Let's just say, for now, we personally have been invoked in boxers since acquiring our first female in 1996. It was not to breed; she was our pet. We are now on our 7th boxer and our first breeding, which all started with a dear friend and mentor. We are thrilled to share our puppies with families and individuals alike.
What makes your program special?
We truly have the best interest of the dogs and the breed at heart. We health test, care for our dogs like they are our own children, socialize the puppies, temperament test them, and screen our buyers to ensure all puppies are going to the best homes possible. We look forward to connecting with you!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn, brindle, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Fineview Boxers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Boxers.
Hip Dysplasia

Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
