I'm Robin L., the breeder behind Fire Forged Australian Cattle Dogs located in Mission Viejo, CA. I take pride in the time and dedication I give to every litter. All of my puppies are hand-raised and begin training and socializing so they are ready to take on the world with their new family. In addition to my breeding program, I also enjoy competing in the show ring with my exceptional dogs!
Q. & A. with Robin
Why did you start breeding?
I did Ruby' s health testing as part of being an informed owner. Ruby has excellent hip and elbows. She is clear of known genetic eye disorders. She is crazy about learning and will try anything. She is super outgoing and loves strangers.
People kept telling me you have to breed her at least once. This is a sacrifice to is since it takes time away from competing.
What makes your program special?
Puppies are raised in my home with a ton of attention and socializing. They have been on teters and in tunnels and seek adventure. They are started on potty training, leash walking and crate training.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Dentition, Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
