Meet the breeder

I'm Meridith L., the breeder behind FullMoon Cattle Dogs located in Rogue River, OR. YOU MUST COMPLETE YOUR PROFILE AND APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A PUPPY. Our dogs are titled and bred for health, good work ethic, and according to the AKC breed standard. All puppies come with a health guarantee.

Q. & A. with Meridith

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started in Black and Tan Coonhounds as we hunted them. I was impressed by the way they performed their jobs but were also calm family dogs at the end of the day. I got into Australian Cattle Dogs as we rescued one and feel in love with their loyalty and diversity. They are a nice-sized dog that excels in much more than just working livestock.
  • What makes your program special?

I breed infrequently and for me personally. I match families with a puppy that will fit their particular lifestyle. My dogs are health guaranteed and I'm available as a resource for the life of the dog. I love what I do and truly want the best for my puppies and their families. I keep my puppy prices affordable as I don't believe well bred, purebred dogs should be out of reach based on cost.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red speckled, blue speckled, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Meridith and Michaela at FullMoon Cattle Dogs. With the growing popularity of ACD, it seems there are more and more breeders who'd rather cater to a trend than take the time and care to contribute thoughtfully to the breed, which is why we were so relieved and excited to have found FullMoon. Right from the get-go, Meridith made it clear to us that she did this out of a passion and respect for the breed and not for money. We really enjoyed seeing the development of the litter as well as the personalities and talents of their parents, Erie and Karma. While we were one of the last to reserve, and would have been happy with any one of the littermates, we ended up with our favorite. He is such a happy and healthy goofball who has adjusted seamlessly into our home. Thank you both for such an amazing experience and your continued support . Meridith is as thoughtful of a person as she is a breeder and we highly recommend her!
