Meet the breeder

I'm Mandy B., the breeder behind God Speed Paws located in Port Angeles, WA. At God Speed Paws, our faith inspires everything we do. We are dedicated to raising healthy, confident Cavaliers and Cavapoos with integrity, compassion, and purpose. Our focus is simple: health without compromise, temperament by design, and relationships for life. We believe exceptional companions begin with thoughtful breeding, intentional puppy raising, and a lifelong commitment to the families who welcome our puppies home.

Q. & A. with Mandy

  • Why did you start breeding?

God Speed Paws was born from a life-changing experience. More than 15 years ago, our first Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel became an incredible therapy companion for our family. His gentle nature, unwavering loyalty, and intuitive ability to provide comfort showed us just how extraordinary this breed can be. That experience inspired me to create a breeding program dedicated to preserving the exceptional health, temperament, and companionship that make Cavaliers and Cavapoos such beloved family dogs. Five years ago, I began building God Speed Paws with carefully selected foundation dogs, and today nothing brings me greater joy than seeing our puppies become cherished members of loving families.

  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program is intentionally small because we believe every puppy deserves an exceptional start in life. Every pairing is thoughtfully planned to improve the next generation by prioritizing exceptional health, stable temperaments, and breed quality. Our breeding dogs complete breed-appropriate DNA health testing and comprehensive veterinary health evaluations before breeding. Puppies are raised in our home with daily handling, early socialization, and age-appropriate enrichment to help them become confident, well-adjusted companions. Rather than placing puppies on a first-come, first-served basis, we thoughtfully match each puppy with the family whose lifestyle and goals best complement their personality. Our relationship doesn't end at adoption; we're committed to supporting our families throughout the lifetime of their dog.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Cavapoo puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Cavapoo puppies include red, blenheim, and apricot. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies include blenheim, ruby, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

“Finding the right puppy is about more than choosing a favorite; it's about creating the best match for both the puppy and the family. We take time to understand each family's lifestyle, experience, and expectations while carefully evaluating every puppy's unique temperament and personality. Rather than matching puppies by color or appearance alone, we thoughtfully pair each puppy with the home where they're most likely to thrive. Our goal is to build lifelong partnerships that begin with the right match because every God Speed Paws puppy will always be part of our extended family.”

Mandy cares deeply about all of the puppies in her care. She took time to answer my questions and offered to provide life-long support for my puppy. Upon adopting my puppy (Winnie), I could tell she dedicated time to ensure he was healthy and loved. He is a sweet puppy (who wags his tail when meeting any new visitor), SO smart (learning new tricks every week), and sweet (always there by my side).
