I'm Kaylynn D., the breeder behind Goosetown Goldens located in Hall, MT. All of our dogs are a complete part of our family, completely health tested according to the Golden Retriever Code of Ethics, and earn titles in multiple venues to demonstrate their superior temperaments and abilities. Puppies are raised using puppy culture in our home in a positive environment.
Q. & A. with Kaylynn
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up on a farm with my mom raising and showing AKC Dachshunds so I have always been around the breeding scene for basically a lifetime. Both my husband and I have owned Golden Retrievers for most of our lives and have developed a great passion for the breed, which led us into raising and training golden retrievers.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are loved members of our family first and foremost. All of our dogs are health tested according to the GRCA Code of Ethics and earn titles in multiple venues including Hunt Tests, CGC, Dock Diving, Fast Cat, Trick Dog, etc. Participating in these events demonstrates the exceptional qualities of their temperaments and abilities.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are dark golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Brock has a pedigree full of proven field lines and it shows through within his own outgoing temperament and natural desire to work. He is incredibly smart, very playful, and has very sweet personality. He is high energy and high drive with a really great off switch in the house. He is probably one of the fastest dogs I have seen and very athletic. He has earned his HRC Seasoned Hunting Retriever, Junior Hunter, Dock Senior, Fast Cat BCAT, Canine Good Citizen, Trick Dog Novice, FIT Dog Bronze, and Virtual Home Manners Adult Titles and is currently working towards additional titles! He has passed all of his final health testing and earned his CHIC Number.

Kaylynn with Goosetown Goldens was fantastic to work with. You can tell how invested she is in the puppies themselves and wants to see them succeed. TALK ABOUT organized. One of the things that made me comfortable flying across the country for a puppy was the level of organization Kaylynn brings to the table. The website, the fact that she required an actual scheduled phone call prior to getting on a waitlist, speedy communication and even at puppy pick up she was so well prepared. You can tell how much time she puts in to making all the information accessible and straightforward. I ran into issues getting to my scheduled pick up time due to weather/travel and she was extremely easy to work with when I was finally able to get my flights rescheduled. It's also easy to see how committed they are to their pups past the point of sale. I received multiple check in's asking how my puppy traveled and was settling in the first few weeks along with an open invite to reach out if I ever had any questions or issues! Our pup is now 12 weeks old and we can't thank Goosetown Goldens enough for doing what they do so well and blessing us with one of their pups!

Goosetown Goldens is WONDERFUL! I just can't say enough good about them. They are caring and conscientious breeders, which means a lot to me. I loved the weekly updates and photos, and if I had any questions in-between weekly contacts they were very prompt to fully answer and address my question. When picking up my puppy they provided full medical and linage history, along with a care package of his favorite chew toys, a blanket with mom’s scent, treats, leash, collar, and other things to help make puppy’s transition to his new home pleasant and enjoyable. I also bought six bags of puppy food through them as well and was very easy going, I highly recommend Goosetown Goldens.
