Breeder of Australian Cattle Dogs

Meet the breeder

I'm James E., the breeder behind Grog Creek Kennel located in Mooresboro, NC. We are home-based breeders dedicated to bringing healthy, loving, and high-quality Australian Cattle Dogs into the homes and hearts of their forever families. We love our dogs and are passionate about raising our puppies to be the best family companions, working dogs or show prospects.

Q. & A. with James

  • Why did you start breeding?

Grog Creek Kennel came about when I bought my first AKC registered Cattle Dog in 2017. I love this breed dearly and I am very passionate about them and making this breed better.
  • What makes your program special?

Here at Grog Creek Kennel we strive to raise puppies with the best temperament. We have been told everywhere we take our dogs that they have the best personality and are unlike other heelers, you know the aggressive, over protective one who doesn’t take well to strangers? We want our dogs to be able to be around anyone and everyone and not have any problems with temperament.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
