  • Why did you start breeding?

    I love my mixed breed rescue dogs but my favorite breed has always been the Shih Tzu. My past shih tzus have also been rescues but I then decided to purchase an AKC registered male shih tzu and he set me on a path to breeding them.

  • What makes your program special?

    I strive to produce puppies that meet AKC standards and have great temperaments. My breeding dogs are DNA tested to prevent heritable diseases. Puppies receive a vet exam, 1st vaccinations, and a microchip before going home at 8 weeks. AKC and lifetime microchip fees are prepaid and registered for you. I can update microchip info for you anytime. I’m just a call or message away to help if needed.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include chocolate and tan, chocolate, black and tan, black, liver, gold, red, red and white, gold and white, brindle and white, black and white, liver and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dani

Dani has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $1,350 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes a guarantee, AKC prepaid registration (limited or full), deworming, first set of puppy shots, prepaid PetLink microchip, a puppy care package, and a well socialized puppy. Once the deposit is received your puppy will be reserved for you. The deposit is non-refundable and will apply to the total purchase price. The litter will be registered with AKC and each puppy's AKC registration is prepaid at no additional cost to you.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Every aspect of my interaction with Dani has been awesome from the first telephone conversation to the many messages we exchange daily. She CARES for her puppies, and the breed, and that comes through clearly, immediately. That was important to me. She explained and walked me through the GoodDog payment process and what to expect and when I had an internet-related issue she helped me navigate successfully (with GoodDog assistance). Well the pup arrived today and he is as beautiful as the many pictures she sent and I am delighted. Nugget came with a bag that included the food he has been accustomed to eating, the vaccination records, a blanket and toy that had the scent of a sibling and his mother and a stuffed toy that imitates the mother’s heart beat to help him through the transition from one household and owner, to another. More important than a bag of goodies, was that I was prepared, well prepared by Dani for his arrival (from getting the correct size crate and bed, the best shampoo and supplements, etc. to how best to settle him in to his new home. She shared considerable experience which was invaluable in making my own choices (where best to place a crate, NOT next to me on the mattress, for example!) Dani is a new-found friend and we will share the journey of raising Nugget together I am sure. Google and Amazon ask raters to mark up to 5 Stars for an evaluation. Five stars is totally insufficient for Dani and Guillot Shi Tzu’s…she deserves at least a constellation! I am so happy I found her and through her my new puppy, the adorable, handsome, Nugget. Great experience across the board.

    We had the best experience working with Dani to get our two new babies home with us. Dani is very experienced and a joy to work with. She really cares for the dogs she breeds and making sure they are in the best condition before letting them go. She was a pleasure to meet and talk with. Bluey and JoJo became instantly at home with us including giving us many kisses the first night. They slept all night and haven't had any accidents in the house. Great experience.

    Great experience and I’m so in love with my puppy, Boots! Dani answered all my questions and posted almost daily updates on all the puppies. She even sent an amazing gift bag home complete with information, dog food, puppy treats and toys! 10/10 experience for my first time getting a puppy with a breeder. I highly recommend her! Her puppies are well taken care of and very sweet. If you’re looking for a shihtzu breeder who cares about her dogs, you found the right person with Dani!
