Meet the breeder

I'm Sandi H., the breeder behind Hardiman’s Howlin’ Hounds located in Dillwyn, VA. Raising AKC, ACD since 2003 & Bloodhounds since 2018. Our puppies are vet checked and are UTD on age-appropriate vaccines & dewormed. Raising ACDs & Bloodhounds is my passion. I offer a one yr health guarantee.

Q. & A. with Sandi

  • Why did you start breeding?

I worked on the family beef farm with the Australian Cattle Dogs, so it made sense to breed them because I have such a long history with this breed. As for the bloodhounds breed, I had always wanted one. When I finally found one, I realize how difficult to find one in my area to was. I love the these two breeds. Both breeds are intelligent, very active, working dogs. I breed happy healthy pups! <3
  • What makes your program special?

My pups are well-loved, and I’m very passionate about finding the right family or individual for each of my pups. I love to talk with and sometimes visit with potential buyers. I love educating my buyers on my breeds, so they are prepared to give each puppy the proper level of care. Taking home one of my pups is a lifetime commitment, and I look forward to connecting with you and your family!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Australian Cattle Dog puppies are blue. Bloodhound puppies include red, black and tan, and liver and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
