Meet the breeder

I'm Margaret E N., the breeder behind Hillbillie Boxers located in Taft, TN. We provide top-quality, healthy, beloved companions conforming to AKC boxer standards. We treasure each pup in our program & give them much attention & care. We work hard so our puppies can leave our home with confidence, ready to take on the world with their new families!

Q. & A. with Margaret E

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding by chance. 25 years ago, a breeder asked to breed to my girl Lucy for pick of litter. Through the years, I have trained boxers & done my research on their health issues & OFA recommended health tests. Health testing is crucial to produce healthy boxers for my boxer families. My puppies have gone to AKC show competitors, veterinarians, other breeders, & mostly companion homes.
  • What makes your program special?

Emphasis on health, temperament, socialization. Continual breed research/education betters our program. Communication with buyers is key. Our puppies come with 2-yr health guarantee. Each pup handled daily, loved much, well cared for. Potty training starts with constant & continual cleaning from birth, to pellets, pads, outside potty training in 5th week. We love our boxers & you will too!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include fawn and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We had such a great experience getting our puppy! The breeders were super caring and you can tell they really love and take amazing care of their dogs. Communication was awesome the whole time — they kept us updated and were always quick to answer any questions. Our puppy is beautiful, healthy, and has the sweetest temperament. We couldn’t be happier!”

Lisa was very helpful and was very easy to communicate with. We were able to go to her house and see the parents and she was more than happy to answer any questions we had. We got Pretzel first and then 6 months later got Wall-e! Both have been perfect additions to our family.

I reached out to Margaret during the holiday season about her boxers. Right away, she was helpful, informative, and even helped arrange a cross-country transport of our new puppy. She even kept our puppy a little longer, due to scheduling conflicts, and sent us regular updates on how she was growing and playing. We are very happy with our girl, she's so sweet and cuddly, and very gentle with children. Would recommend 100% Hillbilly Boxers!

Margaret E. was an absolute pleasure to work with! From the very beginning, she made me feel comfortable asking questions and always provided thorough, timely updates on Cassius’ health. I loved receiving pictures and videos throughout the process because it made the wait so much more exciting! When it came time to pick him up, Margaret went above and beyond by sharing a wealth of helpful information to ensure a smooth transition. I’m so grateful I chose Hillbillie Boxers for my very first canine family member.

Junes been the best dog I’ve ever had. She has the biggest personality and is the sweetest girl with our kids. Margaret made things super easy in getting June and even worked around a cruise we had scheduled. She included a ton of information on Junes shots, her vet check ups and her chip as well. I would definitely get another boxer from Margaret in the future!
