Hood Canal Cavaliers

Meet the breeder

I'm Kathy O., the breeder behind Hood Canal Cavaliers located in Hoodsport, WA. Hi! I’m Kathy O’Malley I’m the breeder along with my husband Ed O’Malley behind Hood Canal Cavaliers located in Hoodsport, WA. We are new breeders starting a small program. We hope to help provide families with healthy and happy puppies as we continue to learn and grow. Our love for our dogs encouraged us to begin breeding. All breeding dogs are fully DNA/Health/OFA tested and we hope to see the results of our efforts in the sweet, happy and healthy puppies that we’re able to share with others.

Q. & A. with Kathy

  • Why did you start breeding?

When I obtained Emma I wanted to make sure that she would pass all the health requirements to make breeding possible. My goal is to improve the health of the breed one litter at a time. I had a mentor that encouraged me along the way.
  • What makes your program special?

I am really just starting my breeding program but my number one goal is to have healthy puppies that will grow into adulthood as healthy and happy as possible. My female Emma is fully tested, is CHIC certified from OFA and is such a healthy and amazing girl. I look forward to another litter of puppies this Christmas of 2025!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include blenheim and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
