Meet the breeder

I'm Lani W., the breeder behind Huntcrest Cockers located in Valley, AL. My goal is to produce well-rounded, structurally sound, versatile puppies that are ready to take on any adventure! Whether that is hiking, fishing, hunting, or just lounging on the couch!

Q. & A. with Lani

  • Why did you start breeding?

My love for animals runs deep! My parents started out breeding American staffordshire terriers when I was very little. From a young age I was taught to respect all animals and that each life is a gift. More recently my parents began breeding French Bulldogs and that is where my passion for breeding began! I knew that I wanted to create a legacy like my parents had but I knew that frenchies we’re not the right fit for me. My passion for the American Cocker began when I brought home baby Bougie, I have big plans to show in conformation the distant future but for now my focus is breeding well structured versatile puppies that can excel at any AKC sport!
  • What makes your program special?

My goal is to produce puppies that can excel both in the field or in the show pen! I would love to see my puppies compete in agility/obedience/doc diving etc… while also being useful hunting dogs that posses a calm temperament and desire to please!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable and white, sable, red roan, red, blue roan, black and white, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
