I'm Dallis M., the breeder behind J and D Retrievers located in Jacksboro, TX. Our dogs are outstanding hunting companions, and we are proud to continue their line. We breed both to provide families with loving and capable companions and to improve upon our dogs' fantastic traits with each generation.
Q. & A. with Dallis
Why did you start breeding?
My Husband Jerred is an avid hunter and got myself into hunting . Since then I was hooked and since being around the best bird dog I had to share his lineage . There is nothing like watching a dog do what it loves. It’s a feeling I can’t even describe and it is what I love to do.
What makes your program special?
I spend every day with each dog and can tell you each quality they bring to the table . I love to know what kind of dog you’re wanting and match you to your perfect choice. These dogs are my family and mean the world to me.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
