I'm Zoe D., the breeder behind Jedda ACDs located in Fairmont, WV. Our dogs are bred for physical and mental soundess and the indomitable working spirit which makes the ACD such an awesome dog. Breeding is not a decision I take lightly, I hope to produce the ideal "do-it-all" dog so that I along with others can enjoy the wonderful journey these dogs take us on.
Q. & A. with Zoe
Why did you start breeding?
I was trusted with a pick puppy that I bought for competitive obedience but the breeder wanted shown. Well she turned out to be one of the best dog's I've ever owned, accomplished in the show ring, rally, obedience, coursing, dock, and getting our start on herding. She is just such a phenomenal push button dog that my mentors and I decided she had a lot to contribute to the breed.
What makes your program special?
I want to produce dogs that'll excel at everything. Stability, confidence, soundness, high biddability, athleticism, and ability to still do the original job of the ACD are top priorities in my program. I want my dogs to perform at a high level and love doing it. That's my primary factor in breeding decisions. "Looks" always comes second. I hope to produce excellent partners for sport and home.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red speckled, blue speckled, blue mottled, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

About Willow
Willow is my little super star work horse. She is intense, driven, and always eager to please. She's the kind of dog you can just take and throw in somewhere and she always gives it a fair go and often is quite successful with little to no prep work. Willow is my main helper on the sheep farm, she is a quick and easy study on most everything. Willow is also an accomplished show dog, being just a few points away from her bronze level grand championship and over half way to her bronze NOHS award with limited showing in mostly large venues. She is an absolute dream to work with but she is also a dog that needs work to do or else she'll make up her own. She's a wonderful representation of the breed with true to breed temperment.

Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Jedda ACDs reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Cattle Dogs.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
