I'm Julie C., the breeder behind Jewel Ridge located in Melbourne, IA. I am a preservation breeder who breeds to protect the original purpose of the Boxer. I'm proud to continue their lines! Because of our dedication to both the health and quality of the breed, it's our goal to pass these traits down to future generations. We provide each of our dogs and puppies with the best possible care and we also ensure each one goes to a responsible, loving home complimentary to their personality and ability.
Q. & A. with Julie
Why did you start breeding?
After years of participating in Obedience, Conformation, Tracking, Coursing, and Rally I wanted to focus on producing a nice structurally sound dog with a great work ethic.
What makes your program special?
My focus is on matching the right puppy with the right home. I do not allow people to pick out a pretty face, after 8-week evaluations I start zeroing in on which puppy's traits will best align with the personal needs of each family.
