Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Shelly S., the breeder behind Kansas Prairie Pups located in Kansas. I'm so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! My focus is to produce top quality dogs that are bred in a loving and caring environment. These dogs have proven to be wonderful companions in our lives. I invest my heart and time into each of these pups from day one. It is a privilege to be able to share that love and friendship with others through my breeding program. I look forward to having you join our fur-ever family.

Q. & A. with Shelly

  • Why did you start breeding?

I became a breeder because a friend of mine who has been breeding for over 10 yrs. She got me interested in it. So I bought my Daisy (Dam) from her and I never looked back. I decided this breed was too amazing to keep all to myself. So she has mentored me and is such an amazing, knowledgeable and wonderful person to learn from and turn to when I need help or have questions. I use her champion stud as well for my pups sire.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include golden and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
