Meet the breeder

I'm Karen M., the breeder behind Karen Marr located in Laramie, WY. Our puppies are raised in our home as part of our family, where they are surrounded by the sights, sounds, & daily activity of a busy household. They are lovingly socialized around our 4 children, ages 4–17 (and their friends :) ). Puppies will receive Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) from days 3–16 to provide early experiences during an important stage of development. Both parents are cherished family dogs with wonderful temperaments, athletic builds, & a strong bond with their family. Our dam has been genetically tested through Paw Print Genetics & is clear of the Boxer-specific conditions, with no carrier results. We put a great deal of love and care into raising each puppy & want them to leave us feeling confident, loved, & ready for their new families. Each puppy goes home with food, a blanket scented with mom and littermates, & toys to help make the transition a little easier.

Q. & A. with Karen

  • Why did you start breeding?

We have read many books on how to find good parents for the litter, how to raise the puppies and how to determine good forever homes. We are not in the business to breed, we just wanted to give our children the experience of a litter.
  • What makes your program special?

We are a family of 6, including 4 kids, ages 4-17. All 6 of us are active in caring for the puppies and momma (where appropriate). The youngest kids' job is to read to the puppies and give momma pets. The older kids is to make sure the puppies are latched on to mom when they walk by. Also the older kids and parents clean up after the puppies and change bedding multiple times a day etc.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include fawn and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
