Q. & A. with Sarah
Why did you start breeding?
My parents started breeding dogs when I was about 5 years old and showing dogs became a family activity. It became a passion of ours to better the breed by breeding to the standard only. My dogs are my world and our loved family members.
What makes your program special?
Health & Temperament is just as important to us as quality. Our dogs are not only top winners in the ring but are #1 as pets first and foremost. Being a loved family member is our first priority always!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
