I'm Cassidy A., the breeder behind Knauer Australian Shepherds located in Massachusetts. We are a small kennel that produces ASCA/AKC registered Australian Shepherds. Our dogs are all health tested, and we strive to produce sound, versatile dogs with stable temperaments. We compete in conformation and other sports.

Why did you start breeding?
Shortly after i got my first wellbred dog I realized how much i wanted to help contribute to bettering the breed.What makes your program special?
My dogs are health tested, have titles, and great temperaments. I pay close attention to their pedigrees, all of them have amazing lines behind them.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific), DNA Profile
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
