Tiffany partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
"My process starts with learning more about the home you’re offering. If you don’t mind sharing a bit about that, it would be helpful. I’d also love to know what gender and color you’re hoping for, and whether you’re looking for a puppy to do any specific “job,” such as service or therapy work. Those roles typically require certain temperaments, and I’m very intentional about recommending puppies that are best suited for that type of work. I don’t require deposits to join the waitlist. I do ask that if you decide to move forward with a puppy elsewhere, you simply let me know so I can update the list. Picks take place around 6 weeks of age and are done in order of when families joined the waitlist, by gender and color preference. For example, if you’re second on the list for a yellow female, you would choose after the family ahead of you from the available yellow females at that time. I spend a lot of time with the puppies as they grow and get to know their individual personalities, while also getting to know the families during the waiting period. I make strong recommendations based on temperament and lifestyle fit. Not because any puppy wouldn’t thrive in a loving home, but because some are naturally more energetic and confident, while others are more laid back. I aim to pair each puppy where they’ll truly excel. Ultimately, the final choice is always yours. Pickup is typically around 8 weeks of age, though I’m flexible if a scheduling conflict comes up and you need a little extra time. That said, I highly recommend bringing your puppy home as close to 8 weeks as possible. There’s a lot of important bonding, learning, and imprinting that happens between 8–12 weeks that you won’t want to miss. Around the halfway point of the pregnancy, Dixie will have an ultrasound to confirm. At approximately 58–60 days, she’ll have an X-ray to estimate litter size. I share updates directly with families on the waiting list, and I also check in periodically to confirm continued interest. If families ahead of you come off the list, I’ll always let you know when you move up."
