Meet the breeder

I'm Natalie R., the breeder behind Lake Julia Labradors located in Remsen, NY. My husband, Jim, and I got our first lab in 1979. It was love at first sight for us, and still is 45 years later! Our current pack consists of 9 English and 1 American Lab, ranging from 15 years, to 6 months, all living, sleeping and eating with us in our home on the Black River. We are fortunate to share with them all that the Southern Adirondacks has to offer, swimming, boating, hiking and snowshoeing throughout the year. We only have one to two litters a year, and most of our puppies go to family, friends, or clients.

Q. & A. with Natalie

  • Why did you start breeding?

The desire to better and preserve the breed made me decide to have my first litter!
  • What makes your program special?

I have always been the “go to” person for Labs in my circle. I love finding the right puppy parent for every pup, and keeping in touch! They become fast friends as soon as their new pup is placed, and I stay in touch with them. It’s a sense of familyy for me!!!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
