I'm Carrie G., the breeder behind Lakota Australian Cattle Dogs located in Redmond, OR. We are very selective of who takes one of our babies into their homes and families. We do not ship, but will happily help you make arrangements to come and visit us face to face so we can get to know one another and make sure that you and any potential puppy from us will be a great fit for life.
Q. & A. with Carrie
Why did you start breeding?
I was raised in a farm family, animals and animal husbandry are just part of every day life, and breeding quality dogs is a huge source of pride and enjoyment in our lives.
What makes your program special?
We have a type of dog that we like for ourselves, and we enjoy sharing that type of dog with other families as well. Sound temperaments, sound bodies and structure are paramount to this goal.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue speckled and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

About Jet
Jet is a good sized girl. She is very agile and likes to get out and do things. She makes it her duty to keep the big birds out of the yard, and is able to jump up and catch them if they get too close. She has won two Best Baby Puppy in Specialty show awards, and a Best Bred By Exhibitor in specialty show award. She has taken some time off but we are planning to get back in the ring soon and finish her Grand Champion title. She has just a few more points required and she will attain it!
