I'm Trish O., the breeder behind Lando Boxers located in Neosho, MO. We are show breeders and only breed every few years. Our dogs are a family first and raised in our home. We compete in Conformation, Obedience, and many other dog sports. Our goal is to produce a beautiful Boxer that has a healthy, sound temperment & is able to do the jobs the breed was originally bred to do.
Q. & A. with Trish
Why did you start breeding?
Breeding for me has never been about money. I'm a science nerd and the genetics of breeding has always been of great interest to me. I only breed occasionally and it's always for myself with the goal of improving the Boxer breed.
What makes your program special?
I consider myself a " Preservation Breeder". My goals are to breed & raise Boxers that are beautiful healthy working dogs, capable of doing the jobs they were originally bred to do. I follow the Code of Ethics and health testing per my National Breed Club. Puppies are raised in our home and receive ENS and Puppy Culture as well as Vollhard puppy Temperment testing prior to placement.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Lando Boxers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Boxers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
