Meet the breeder
I'm Glenna E., the breeder behind Little City Shibas located in Pahrump, NV. We are a small show kennel that breeds to the AKC standard. The goal we set, and which we believe is still the most important, is to produce healthy puppies that make a well-rounded character in an adult dog. We strive to make sure every owner has the ability to get the very best out of their puppy.

Why did you start breeding?
I obtained my first show dog in 1978 and at that point, I had the show dog bug. I did not start breeding at that time but always knew that I wanted to show and breed dogs. I decided on the Shiba Inu breed when I was ready to hit the ring again. We breed to get our next show dog and sell happy healthy pups as pets along the way.What makes your program special?
We work hard to educate the buyers of our puppies even before the puppies are even a twinkle in daddy's eye. They fill out an application and attend an in-person interview prior to being considered for our waiting list. We offer ongoing education and answer any questions for the lifetime of the dog.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
