Q. & A. with Laura
Why did you start breeding?
I took this endeavor very seriously, volunteered tirelessly for 2 years in partnership with the University of Florida to bring our local kill-rate down to zero. I personally sponsored in my home 57 precious homeless little souls, and nursed them back to health, and marketed them all the way to adoption. I felt in my heart that this was what I had to do to prove my worth as a future hobby breeder.
What makes your program special?
My adults have been carefully selected for beauty and health. This has been a painstaking process with the objective of doing right by the animals as well as future pet-owners to not pass down unwanted traits. I began with a clear objective in mind of the exact faces and conformation I wanted my breeding lines to have. I will continue to selectively breed, slowly over time to achieve this goal.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, cafe au lait, cream, red, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
