I'm Sylvanna M., the breeder behind LJK Boxers & Toy Aussies located in Mountain Home, ID. We focus on health testing to prolong the life of an amazing breed. We want families looking for a puppy to have the option of a stable temperament that can fit into everyday life. Our dogs are smart, loving, protective, and of course beautiful.

Why did you start breeding?
I was looking up the issues Boxers have and found that mostly only expensive show breeders did any testing. I wanted to provide healthy Boxers at a reasonable price to people who want a member of their family, not a show dog. The aussies came as we were looking for a small dog that would enjoy outdoor activities as well as fitting in with the family. They are an active, loving, and smart breed.What makes your program special?
We health test all of our dogs and choose only the best temperaments that thrive in family environments to pass on genetics. We provide all of this and more for a fraction of what similar breeders charge.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Boxer puppies include fawn and brindle. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black, red, blue merle, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Sylvanna has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Sylvanna partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Our puppies are priced as pets with limited registration. We require a non refundable deposit to hold a puppy of choice until they are ready to go home. Deposits are non refundable and go towards the purchase price of the puppy.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy (ARVC), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Animal Genetics Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
