I'm Courtney N., the breeder behind Lonestar Labradors C&E located in Brooksville, FL. Our dogs are bred for sound health, temperament and conformation. Our goal is to preserve the multi-purpose of Labrador Retrievers. All of our breeding dogs are health and genetic tested.
Q. & A. with Courtney
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up wanting to be a veterinarian. When that didn’t work out, I manifested other ways to work with animals. I grew up with retrievers and knew they held a very special place in my heart. Went to a local dog show, fell in love, and the rest is history!
What makes your program special?
I take pride in all my dogs. All have been health tested through the Orthopedic Foundation For Animals. They all have clearances of hips, elbows, eyes, heart and full genetic panels. We work closely with Silverthorn Animal Clinic and Animal Clinic Of Citra to ensure all our breeding dogs are at their best health during their breeding career.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
