


I'm Heather L., the breeder behind Majestic Shiba Inu’s located in Olympia, WA. They almost became extinct during World War II Most died in bombing raids during the war, or distemper, a contagious canine viral infection, after the war. Most of the surviving Shibas were the Shinshu (MODERN DAY SHIBA), though there were a few Mino and Sanin left (one of our females is Sanin).

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
