I'm Heather L., the breeder behind Majestic Shiba Inu’s located in Olympia, WA. They almost became extinct during World War II
Most died in bombing raids during the war, or distemper, a contagious canine viral infection, after the war. Most of the surviving Shibas were the Shinshu (MODERN DAY SHIBA), though there were a few Mino and Sanin left (one of our females is Sanin).
Q. & A. with Heather
Why did you start breeding?
I have been breeding exotic animals for decades. I love the Shiba’s and realized that a very rare form of Sheba is almost entirely instinct. I’m looking to bring it back.
What makes your program special?
Our program is special, because it is ran by all those that are autistic. Our dogs are born and raised in our home. Genetic testing must prove to be 100% negative no carriers. Our test results are shown on our website. We also get all of the certificate exams required under CFA. Health is number one. Socialization is also very important, and our puppies are very well socialized from the point they are born.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, red, and sesame. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
