Marion Grace

Meet the breeder

I'm Marion G., the breeder behind Marion Grace located in Overland Park, KS. I am dedicated to the meticulous care for each of my females and their litters. Before breeding, I have my females scanned/tested for heritable diseases and use only those dogs that have received all appropriate OFA (hips and eyes) clearances. I also select breeding stock based on proven performance in the field, pedigree, temperament, soundness, and conformation. I research each stud to ensure that the pairing will complement one another and produce desired traits including a quality hunting retriever and family companion. I want to ensure that each puppy goes to an owner who will provide it with the same love and devotion for life that I have provided to my dogs. I carefully screen and evaluate each person interested in getting a puppy from my program.

Q. & A. with Marion

  • Why did you start breeding?

Hunting and competing with my first purebred Labrador Retriever, HRCH UH Kenzies Golden Drake SH (HRC Honorable 500 Point Club)
  • What makes your program special?

I only breed a select few litters each year (no more than 2). I do not breed until each dog is fully health tested and has earned performance titles to prove their soundness and capability.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Labrador Retriever puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
