I'm Brandon B., the breeder behind Marshland Retrievers LLC located in Scottsboro, AL. Our dogs in our breeding program were chosen from some of the top performing lines in the country. We drove long distances across the country to pick up our breeding stock. Our dogs we chosen based on their ability to perform at a high level and also possess an off-switch for the home.
Q. & A. with Brandon
Why did you start breeding?
We got into breeding by training and raising great gun dogs. As we trained numerous types of dogs, we wanted to produce high-quality labradors. We want to produce dogs that are not only perfect health and temperament, but also with high trainability. We want more people to own a Labrador that is not only a great hunting dog and companion but also a great member of a family.
What makes your program special?
We believe that our program is special due to the time and effort that we have put into selecting our breeding stock. All of our stock are titled with titled parents and excellent health tests. We focus on breeding high quality Labradors that will produce puppies that will be placed in homes where their skills which they were bred for are utilized. All of our dogs have a definite on/off switch.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Brandon and his wife were incredible. They would send pics of the puppies as they grew through the first 7 weeks and allowed me to see my sweet Reba interact with the other pups.

Well, I have to tell you. I found marshland retrievers on good dog. I couldn’t be happier. Brandon was and still is easy to contact, willing to answer questions, etc. I can’t believe the love, instinct, calmness and willingness to please that our new puppy Cora “the explorer” has. She’s about 2/3 months old, sitting, coming, retrieving, and of course being cute. I’ve had her on the ocean already as I am a strong believer in starting young. She was a little unsettled as expected for the first hour, after that, she owned the deck. They are great breeders and very easy to work with. The experience and Cora were worth every penny. I can’t wait to see what she does next and if I get another lab in the future….. expect a call Brandon. Top notch pups and service. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you marshland!!!!!
