Meet the breeder

I'm Florence J., the breeder behind Mattiaci Goldens located in Garrison, MT. Q. & A. with Florence

  • Why did you start breeding?

    http://www.mattiaci.com/aboutmattiaci.htm
  • What makes your program special?

I have been showing golden retrievers since 1987 and breed to the standard. Our goldens have consecutive generations of health clearances, which helps minimize the problems in the breed that we do these health clearances for. Since we compete with our dogs and events, we spend a huge amount of time not only just daily living with our dogs and are breeding for a great pet for us, which means great pets for you.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,000 refundable deposit and between $2,250 - $7,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pet puppies at 8 weeks of age are $3,000 on AKC limited registration & spay/neuter contract. Good dog ads their referral fee to this for homes. CA homes have additional veterinary fee and veterinary trip costs of $300, for your new state requirements, in addition to the puppy cost. Occasionally have puppies started on training that cost between 3,500-7,500 depending on age & training. Puppies are chosen in order of deposit. We often get multiple inquiries for the same puppy. Once a puppy is paid for, they are no longer available on the site.”

We are a few weeks in and couldn't be happier with our new pup Chance! Florence was very helpful throughout the process and kept us regularly updated, and was able to transport the puppy to us, which was incredibly helpful. So far he seems to be adjusting very well, which is a testament to how he was raised and cared for. Thank you!

Florence has made the experience of getting our pup quite easy. She is fast to respond, very knowledgeable about Goldens and a great communicator. Florence shared all records and has been helpful with recommendations whenever we’ve had questions. She is reliable and has earned our trust. Our girl Luna is as sweet as can be. She’s taking a nap right next to me now. We are becoming fast friends. Thanks Florence for bringing so much love into our home!
